A short premise. The first time I showed my cameras on the web (during 1996) I wrote: "Exakta collecting is growing all over the world". I am sure I was right. And now my apologies for my poor English even if I know there are at least 500 collectors a day who enjoy my site! This is the fourth restyling during these past 10 years, I hope you enjoy it.

Camerapedia
The company was founded in Jena in 1856 and called Carl Zeiss Jena. It produced microscopes and the refractometer, an optical instrument to measure the index of refraction of optical glass, developed by Carl Zeiss' partner Ernst Abbe.

Pentacon Six (P6)
The Pentacon Six is a medium format Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera developed in Germany in the 1950s and manufactured until the early 1990s. It has been copied – and its lens mount has been adopted – by other manufacturers, and today several cameras and a very wide range of lenses are available using the Pentacon Six mount.

Praktica
The first Praktica was built in 1949 by the Company "Mechanik Kamera Werkstätten VEB Niedersedlitz" which was founded as "Kamera-Werkstätten Guthe & Thorsch GmbH" 1919 by Benno Thorsch and Paul Guthe in Dresden.
